Dear Parishioners,
This upcoming Sunday, Palm Sunday, marks the beginning of Holy Week. Holy Week is an eight day long period that begins on Palm Sunday and ends on Easter Sunday. During this one week, many biblical prophecies were fulfilled. Jesus came to Earth to save humanity through His death on the cross on Good Friday and resurrection on Easter Sunday. In doing so, He swung the gates of Heaven open for us; He paved a way for our sins to be forgiven and ushered us into the presence of God.
A Sacred Opportunity
Holy Week allows us an opportunity to fully reflect upon what Jesus’ sacrifice meant for humanity. Each day of Holy Week allows us to peek into the heart of Our Savior. We see His love for us reflected in every significant step toward the cross, every breath up to the last, and His resurrection. These events are the foundation of Christianity, and Holy Week is a sacred opportunity to study this foundation. When we observe Holy Week, we set ourselves apart from material pursuits for Jesus and dedicate our time to Him. Our observation gives Him the glory and honor that He deserves for the gift of life that He provided us with.
Upcoming Events
Our God is not one of coincidence. Every step towards the cross was intentional, and every lesson was laced with His unending love us. Each event of Holy Week marks a step in Our Lord’s Journey; Holy Family Parish will be celebrating Mass for each event. We invite you to join us at Holy Family Parish this week as we reflect upon Jesus’ suffering, death, and resurrection, and what that meant for us as human beings.

Let us experience this truth in liturgy and symbol; the services of Holy Week are a powerful proclamation of the transformative power of the Gospel and God at work in our own lives. Let us look to Easter Sunday with hope as we endure the darkness of Good Friday and Holy Saturday, for it is only through truly realizing the magnitude of sin that we can fully appreciate the light that Our Lord Jesus Christ brings to us.
Yours in Christ,
