We invite you to worship with us

Saturday @ 4pm & Sunday @ 9am, 11am

Dear Parishioners,

On this blessed Christmas Day, our Lord Jesus Christ has been born! Christmas is truly a wonderful time; no matter what is going on in the world or in our lives, we can take comfort in the hope and joy that our Lord, born again, brings to us. We at Holy Family Parish hope that our annual Christmas blog post helps you remember the true meaning of Christmas as we come together as a family of faith to celebrate Christ’s birth.

Our Lord's One and Only Son

While gift-giving and tree decorating has become the world’s primary focus during Christmas, let us take a moment to reflect on what the season is really about: the birth of God’s Son – Jesus. This Christmas, take an opportunity to pause and give thanks for the love, hope, and joy found in Jesus – our Savior and friend. As we exchange gifts with loved ones, it is out of remembrance of the gift God gave us in Jesus. The gift that we are loved, are never alone, and can have hope for the future.

“This is how God showed his love among us: he sent his one and only Son into the world … And so we know and rely on the love God has for us” (1 John 4:9, 16).

Mass Schedule

We welcome you to join us this Christmas season to celebrate the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Please find below our mass schedule for Christmas Day, in addition to our mass schedule for the celebration of the New Year.

Christmas Day: 9am & 11am

New Year’s Eve: 4pm

New Year’s Day: 9am & 11am

“Christmas is the feast of love incarnate and born for us in Jesus Christ. He is the light of mankind shining in the darkness, giving meaning to human existence and to the whole of history.” – Pope Francis

Donate to Holy Family Parish

As Christmas arrives, we begin our Christmas Collection to support the ongoing expenses of Holy Family Parish. This campaign allows you to directly support the ministry of Holy Family Parish and your generosity enables us to continue our efforts to serve the faithful in Manayunk. We thank you for your generosity during this season of Christmas.

This Christmas, let us remember God’s eternal love for us, and do our best to share it with our family and friends. Let us engage in random acts of kindness and spread God’s word. Let us not be concerned with material concerns like what gifts we received, but instead let us open our hearts to the perfection that is Jesus Christ, who has been born on this glorious day. May the Lord bless you, and may the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph intercede for your every need during this most holy Christmas season.

Yours in Christ,

Monsignor Sweeney
