Parish Religious Education Program (PREP)
The Church has a Great Commission from Jesus Christ, given to us prior to His Ascension into Heaven: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”
At Holy Family Parish, we take seriously the commission given to us by Jesus Christ, and so we are committed to educating your children in the Catholic faith. We strive to provide faith formation by teaching the message of Jesus and through the celebration of the Sacraments. All those who would like to be initiated into the Catholic faith must have religious formation so that they are made aware of their obligations to God and neighbor, ultimately allowing them to practice their faith.
Children from 1st to 8th grade are eligible to enroll in our Parish Religious Education Program, known as PREP. The PREP program serves those students not currently enrolled in Catholic elementary school and provides an extensive education program in the teachings of the Catholic Church. Catholic education through the PREP program is necessary for those who want to receive First Communion and Confirmation and are not already attending Catholic elementary schools.
Our program runs on a school year schedule from September until May. Classes are held every Sunday morning at 10 AM.
For those parents who have questions regarding the PREP program, please email prep@holyfamilychurch.org or call the rectory at (215) 482-0450.
